A Literary Trunk Show!

Please join us for a literary evening with W. W. Norton, one of the oldest and most prestigious publishing houses in America. Joseph Murphy, Norton’s representative, will present a  history of the house that published literary luminaries such as e.e. cummings, Sigmund Freud, and Simone de Beauvoir, as well as Winston Churchill, Richard Feynman, and many others. He will reveal the process of how promising books are coaxed from manuscript to bookstore, and his job as liaison along the way. Most importantly, Mr. Murphy will present the hottest highlights of the 2007 season, just in time for holidays.

This event is free to the public, and will be accompanied by a wine and cheese reception.

W.W. Norton is the oldest and largest publishing house wholly owned by its employees, and it is the only major house that is still independent.
